About Us:

Equity Rentals is a privately owned real estate company specializing in quality residential and commercial property rentals. We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team and help maintain the excellent standards our tenants and clients expect.

Position Overview:

Only Grande Prairie applicants, please. As a Maintenance Technician, you will bring a strong, diverse handyman skill set, mechanical aptitude, comfort with manual labor, and excellent problem-solving and time management skills. You will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and repair of various properties while working independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct general maintenance and repairs, including doors, locks, door frames, and handles.

Replace light bulbs, sockets, and switches.

Perform drywall prep, patching, and painting as needed.

Handle basic plumbing tasks, such as unclogging drains and fixing leaking faucets and toilets.

Conduct seasonal property maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.

Perform snow and ice management during winter months.

Carry out other maintenance tasks on an as-needed basis.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar maintenance role.

Must own a smartphone with data.

Must have full-time access to a reliable vehicle.

Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Must provide a criminal record check, including a vulnerable sector check.

Hardworking, punctual, and detail-oriented.

Willingness to learn new repair skills and techniques.

Strong ability to follow both oral and written instructions.

Ability to work unsupervised and manage time efficiently.

Must be able to lift moderately heavy objects and safely operate power tools.

Additional Details:

Full-time position.

Daytime availability is required.

Must live in Grande Prairie or the immediate surrounding area.
