Job Summary:
Assists the maintenance department in performing duties that include, but are not limited to, preventative maintenance, breakdowns, new installations and restorations.
Duties & Responsibilities
:
Has knowledge of all farm operations, equipment, and maintenance responsibilities
Has low voltage electrical experience and knowledge; completes minor electrical jobs
Performs minor and major repairs on buildings and equipment unsupervised including, but not limited to, welding, replacing and repairing parts, hydraulics, pneumatics, low voltage electrical, and equipment, buildings and facilities
Assists in training new maintenance associates
Completes preventative maintenance duties and completes checklists as assigned
Performs operational checks on boilers as scheduled (L, K only)
Evaluates jobs and determines requirements
Observes and reports any issues on farm
May operate a computer which controls and monitors mechanical equipment and utility systems
Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required
Assists and supports contractors
Assists in verifying that smoke detectors and fire extinguishers are operable, as requested
Performs any other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Experience with automated packaging lines, including flowpack machines and slicing & weighfiller systems.
Strong troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills for belt conveyors, plastic wrapping, label printing, and sealing systems.
Eligible to work in Canada
Must be at least 16 years of age

8:00pm to 4:00am, any 5 days/week
Wage:
$34.50 Hourly
Off Shift Premium
:
Any non-agricultural employees working after 6:00PM shall receive a shift premium of fifty cents ($0.50) for all hours worked after 6:00PM.
