Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Maintenance technician at BRIMICH performs general preventive maintenance and corrective repair of facilities, industrial systems, equipment and facility grounds. The technician will utilize several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, heating and cooling as well as an ability to self-manage a maintenance schedule

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:



Responsible for all routine building maintenance and annual building inspections including preventative maintenance related to BRIMICH safety programs. Completes maintenance and repair records as required. Reviews, prioritizes and performs company work orders on a daily basis to ensure completion of tasks and meeting BRIMICH deadlines Assist in providing estimates of time and materials needed to complete repair and necessary materials and supplies to complete proposed projects for approval Maintains cleanliness of the facilities (indoors and outdoors) and ensures a clean workspace during completion of projects on-site Complies with all applicable codes, environmental/government regulations, and Company directives related to building operations and work safety. Assists with installation and modification of building equipment systems. Assists with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include: basic plumbing, kitchen equipment repairs, drywall repairs, concrete/carpet flooring repairs, roof and racking maintenance Maintains lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps. Performs furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed Knowledge of effective and safe use of power tools Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed. Available to carry out emergency maintenance work outside of normal working hours Performs other duties as assigned and works in compliance with Food Safety Programs.

Education & Training Requirements



Minimum 3 years previous maintenance and/or handyman experience Working at Heights an asset WHMIS First Aid & CPR preferred but not required

Shift:

Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM -3:00 PM

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
