As a Maintenance Technician you are responsible for efficient operations, maintaining high safety standards, and avoiding costly disruptions.
Preventive Maintenance
Regular Inspections:
Conduct routine inspections of all machinery and equipment assigned by our Asset Management Tool, on time
Lubrication and Cleaning
: Regularly lubricate moving parts and clean equipment to prevent buildup of food residues, dust, or grime that can lead to contamination or mechanical failure.
Replacement of Parts
: Timely replacement of worn-out parts such as bearings, seals, belts, and filters to prevent unexpected breakdowns.
Utility Maintenance
: regular checks on utility equipment to ensure they are operating safely and efficiently
Production Support/Emergency Calls
Immediate repair
of any equipment failures or breakdowns to minimize downtime and prevent production losses.
Troubleshoot
and solution gearboxes, belts, heaters, conveyors, plumbing, structural etc. working alongside Production Team Leads on the best time to repair equipment
Emergency calls
may come from all areas under the Hayter's Farm umbrella including but not limited to production, barns and accommodations
Building maintenance;
general repairs and replacements of company buildings
Documentation and Organization
Maintenance Logs
: Maintain detailed logs of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, replacements, and sanitization schedules.
Parts Inventory
: Maintain an adequate inventory of spare parts and consumables ensure quick repairs and minimize downtime.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance; production or manufacturing facility experience an asset
Tickets in Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Refrigeration, Construction or Millwright are considered an asset
Work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently with a positive attitude
Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
Confident using a computer to source parts and utilize our assessment management tool
Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that involve lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods
