TYCROP

is looking for an experienced

Maintenance Technician

to join our team in the Fraser Valley.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and repair company equipment as directed Adhere to established procedures and work instructions as well as assembly and installation instructions set forth in vendor manuals and specifications Monitor the use and inventory of spare parts, maintenance supplies and equipment and report discrepancies or insufficiencies Communicate progress of plant equipment repairs and make recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance related problems Maintain and update operating and training manuals for the maintenance department as directed

Qualifications:

5+ years equivalent experience in maintenance and/or operations of a manufacturing facility or equivalent combination of education and experience 3rd year or Red Seal Millwright trade certification an asset Experienced with pneumatic systems, hydraulics, gas powered machinery, diesel powered machinery, pumps, compressors, and electrical systems. Extensive experience with hand and power tools and the operation of forklifts, overhead cranes, scissor lifts, boom lifts required.

Skills:

Competent in the operations of hydraulic assembly tools and knowledge of the appropriate use of hose kits, hose specifications, hydraulic/fluid circuits, hydraulic filters, gauges, quick couplers, etc. Demonstrates the ability to problem solve and make decisions Displays exceptional people skills and a can-do attitude Utilizes effective oral communication and numeracy, problem solving, job task planning and organizational skills Able to lift 50 lbs, possesses manual dexterity and is able to work at heights Possesses the ability to work on own and as part of a team Able to work in wet, humid, outdoor, high noise and dusty environments Proficient in basic office computer software

Pay: $32.50-$39.24 per hour
