Maintenance Technician
We require a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician with strong expertise in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment calibration, and reliability improvement. You must adapt to ensure the optimal performance of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems in high-precision environments such as manufacturing, defence or industrial facilities.
Your Role
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for machinery, equipment, and systems
Conduct routine inspections and servicing to reduce breakdowns and downtime
Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities
Ensure equipment is maintained according to OEM standards and best practices
Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, or control system failures quickly and efficiently
Support root cause analysis for equipment breakdowns
Coordinate with production teams to minimize disruption during repairs
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery or production lines
Verify that newly installed equipment meets performance and calibration standards before handover
Evaluate and implement upgrades to improve equipment reliability and performance
Ensure critical spares are available to avoid extended equipment downtime
Prepare and maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and technical reports
Use IFS system to track maintenance activities.
Ensure maintenance and calibration activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
Participate in risk assessments, safety audits, and compliance reviews
Participate in lean maintenance, or 5S/6S
Contribute to process improvements to increase equipment efficiency and reduce costs
Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams for equipment modifications and improvements
Support training of operators on basic equipment care and early fault detection
Maintain traceability and documentation for all calibration activities in line with industry standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025, MIL-STD)
Ensure all calibrated instruments are within acceptable tolerance limits and properly labelled and able to determine acceptances criteria together with engineering
Coordinate with metrology labs or third-party services when external calibration is required
Drive and approve suppliers for onsite visits
Safe work procedures for the equipment, on how to use the equipment safely during an operation
Desired Skills
Preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance methodologies
Calibration processes aligned with ISO/IEC 17025 and MIL-STD standards
Use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and calibration management software
Mechanical, electrical, and electronic system diagnostics and repairs
Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
ESD control procedures and handling of sensitive electronic equipment
Operation and maintenance of environmental chambers and precision measurement equipment.
Root cause analysis and failure investigation techniques
Safety regulations, risk assessments, and compliance requirements in industrial environments
Lean maintenance practices, including 5S/6S
ERP system usage for maintenance tracking and reporting
Required Skills
3-5 years of hands-on experience in maintenance, calibration, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment in a manufacturing, defence, or industrial environment
Proven track record in executing preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime
Experience with equipment troubleshooting and root cause analysis for breakdowns
Installation, commissioning, and performance verification of new machinery or production lines
Coordinating with external service providers and metrology labs for equipment servicing and calibration
Maintaining accurate technical records, logs, and maintenance documentation.
