Maintenance Technician

Your expertise, attention to detail, and professionalism will help create a safe, comfortable, and inviting environment for both our guests and team members.

Position Summary



The

Maintenance Technician

plays a key role in maintaining the superior quality and appearance of the Delta Calgary South. You'll perform a variety of maintenance and repair duties to support the hotel's daily operations, while working collaboratively with other team members to ensure our guests experience the highest standards of comfort and safety.

You'll also contribute to our team culture -- where Together Everybody Accomplishes More -- by sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and continually developing your skills.

Flexibility is essential:

This position requires availability for a varied schedule, including days, weekends, and holidays, depending on business needs and seasonal demands.

Responsibilities



Perform routine and preventive maintenance throughout the property (guest rooms, public areas, pools, exterior, etc.) Respond promptly to guest and department requests, ensuring timely and effective solutions Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical systems and equipment (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) Support renovation and upgrade projects as needed Maintain the hotel's aesthetic standards, both interior and exterior Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies

Qualifications



1-3 years of experience in a related maintenance or technical role

Class 5 Power Engineering Certificate required

Strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to safety Additional training or certification in any of the following is an asset: HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, Painting, Kitchen Equipment, Pools Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Physical Requirements



Ability to lift or move objects up to 50 lbs (e.g., furniture, salt bags, equipment) Comfortable working on ladders and being on your feet for extended periods
