Lovingly Made Ingredients is a new ingredient manufacturing company based in Calgary. We produce textured plant-based proteins and starches to create unique properties for use in a variety of industries, including meat analogues, bakery, snacks and cereals. Our aim is to use local ingredients and produce great tasting food ingredients in the most sustainable way possible.

Job Overview:



The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, scheduling, parts ordering, parts back stock and repair of our production equipment and facilities. This role is critical for minimizing downtime, ensuring equipment performance, and supporting a safe work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, with experience in food manufacturing or a similar industry, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment, including mixers, conveyors, packaging machines, and other industrial machinery. Diagnose mechanical issues and make necessary repairs to minimize production downtime. Install, align, and secure equipment such as pumps, motors, and belts as needed. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals to accurately troubleshoot and repair equipment. Conduct routine inspections of machinery to identify and resolve potential issues proactively. Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure machinery meets operational and quality standards. Maintain accurate maintenance records, documenting all repairs, replacements, and adjustments made. Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Assist in equipment upgrades and improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and support production demands as required.

Job Requirements:



Minimum 3 years of maintenance or industrial machinery repair experience, or equivalent education Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with troubleshooting industrial equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints and schematics. Proficiency in using hand tools, welding equipment, and other tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required. Know how to use FIIX and administer maintenance schedules.

Preferred Skills:



Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automated machinery. Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) standards. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 48 per week
