We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated

Maintenance Technician to join our Operations Team in Calgary.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Maintenance technician will oversee the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely.

The Role:



The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of all equipment. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and supporting production operations to minimize downtime. The technician must adhere to strict food safety standards and regulatory compliance while maintaining a proactive approach to equipment care and operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities:



Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment, refrigeration systems, conveyors, and packaging machinery. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, HACCP, and GMP during maintenance activities. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and parts inventory. Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance without disrupting operations. Assist in equipment installation, upgrades, and calibration. Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation standards in a food environment.

Qualifications:



Education: Technical diploma or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance. Experience: 3-5 years in maintenance within food processing or similar regulated industry. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical troubleshooting, and PLC basics. Familiarity with refrigeration systems and cold storage environments. Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Proficiency in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and MS Office.

Schedule:



Onsite from 8 AM-5 PM; subject to change per business operational needs. 4 days in the week and 1 day in the weekend. Exposure to cold storage and production floor environments. Shift work, including evenings and weekends, may be required. Must adhere to PPE and safety protocols.

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
