Residential Maintenance Technician

City Vibe Developments Inc. is in need of a full-time Residential Maintenance Technician to join our team. Most of our work focuses on interiors of units after tenants move out and before new renters move in. The applicant must also have experience in Electrical, Plumbing, Finishing and Flooring repairs. We offer a competitive salary and full benefits after 90 days of employment. Hours of employment are 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday, with an occasional on-call duty as needed.

Responsibilities

Month end unit turnovers which includes:

o Drywall touch up's and small patch repairs, and painting

o Repairs and maintenance; including floors, cabinetry etc.

o Cleaning unit after work completed

Protect all nearby furnishings and building materials before and during every painting job, including carpets, cabinetry, outlet covers, lighting fixtures and landscaping.

Liaising with Trades to ensure access to property for larger repairs, assessment of completion of repairs with Trade and lock upon completion of task.

Organize and schedule small jobs and ensure you complete each project in an efficient, timely manner.

Complete various inspections of the buildings and units as required.

Required to respond and complete maintenance service tickets in a timely manner for various items of work including but not limited to Finishing, Electrical, Plumbing and Flooring.

Moving of garbage bins, litter pick-up and seasonal walkway maintenance as required.

Ability to be on call and work overtime as required

Comply with OH&S legislation.

Be available to complete other maintenance jobs on an ad hoc basis

Skills and Requirements

High school diploma/GED preferred

Some knowledge of HVAC systems.

Two plus years of general maintenance and painting

Reliable transportation

Ability to complete projects on-time and on-budget

Excellent communication and team-building skills

Service warranty technician experience considered an asset

Other Trades experience required, for example, plumbing, carpentry, finishing etc. as minor repairs in these fields will be required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
