Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and licensed
Maintenance Technician (442A)
to maintain and optimize production equipment in our flexible packaging facility. The ideal candidate will performpreventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance
, supportTPM initiatives
, and contribute to improving equipment uptime, efficiency, and overall performance. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, technical expertise, and a commitment tosafety and continuous improvement
.Key Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including
flexographic presses, laminators, slitters, bag-making machines, air compressors, chillers, dryers, and corona treaters
. Troubleshoot and repairmechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
, including motors, sensors, drives, gearboxes, and related components. Diagnose issues withPLCs, HMIs, sensors, and motor control systems
; assist with automation upgrades involvingSiemens, Allen-Bradley, and B&R platforms
. Complete scheduledpreventive maintenance tasks
and usepredictive maintenance tools
(vibration analysis, thermal imaging, ultrasonic testing) to minimize breakdowns. Actively participate inTPM, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives
to reduce downtime and improveOverall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
. Adhere to allsafety regulations
includingLockout/Tagout (LOTO), ESA, CSA, OSHA standards
, and maintainGMP and HACCP compliance
. Accurately document maintenance activities and maintain records in theCMMS system
.Qualifications
Valid
Industrial Electrician 442A License
(required).3-5 years of maintenance experience
in flexible packaging, plastics, printing, or a related manufacturing environment. Strong troubleshooting skills acrossmechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
. Experience withweb-handling equipment, tension control systems, PLCs, VFDs, and servo motors
. Ability to read and interpretmechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical manuals
. Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and work orders in aCMMS
