Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities maintenance and possess a variety of technical skills to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and systems.

Duties

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal functionality Enhance equipment performance, recommending improvements and implementing Works from drawings, written or verbal instructions and sketches Must be able to troubleshoot and identify mechanical/electrical problems Operate production equipment and check performance as required Strong on PM (preventative maintenance) procedures in a 24 hour/day operation Execute mechanical repairs on machinery, ensuring all equipment operates efficiently. Oversee facilities maintenance tasks and general building upkeep. Deliver excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff. Demonstrate leadership qualities by fostering a collaborative work environment. Perform other duties as assigned

Experience

Proven experience in maintenance roles, preferably within manufacturing or facilities management settings. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in various repair techniques. Knowledge of conveyors, industrial pumps and compressors, grinders, welding equipment, electrical and electronic controls, lathes and machining tools, power tools, fans and blowers, hydraulic systems and high speed packaging equipment Previous supervisory experience is a plus, demonstrating the ability to lead a team effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with team members and clients. A background in customer service is beneficial for addressing inquiries related to maintenance services.
