Position Summary:



We are seeking a proactive and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance operations in a unionized cable manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of critical production equipment including draw benches and furnaces, driving process improvements, and ensuring the implementation of a robust preventative maintenance program.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead and manage a team of skilled Millwrights/Electricians in a unionized setting. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with union representatives to ensure compliance with collective agreements. Oversee maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment including draw benches, furnaces, and other cable production machinery. Ensure minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance. Develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive preventative maintenance program. Schedule routine inspections and servicing to extend equipment life and reduce unexpected failures. Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction. Utilize root cause analysis and lean methodologies to improve maintenance efficiency. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and safety checks. Manage maintenance budgets, including labor, parts, and equipment. Schedule and manage all maintenance shutdown and outside contractor activities. Manage Maintenance and Electrician call in schedules. Coordination with Production Manager to prioritize maintenance work to minimize disruption to production. Assist with providing Supervisor coverage when needed ( vacations etc) Oversee inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies.

Qualifications:



Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems. Experience working in a unionized environment with a solid understanding of labor relations. Demonstrated success in implementing preventative maintenance and process improvement initiatives. Understanding of PLC an asset. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Education & Experience:



Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field e.g Millwright. 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

Pay: $76,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
