Position Summary:



We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our Maintenance Department as a

Millwright/Maintenance Supervisor

. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, as well as ensuring the daily upkeep, repair, and maintenance of buildings, rolling stock, and other equipment is completed safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to effectively oversee and delegate responsibilities to one or more junior maintenance staff to support the department's duties.

What you do

:

Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, review and participate in all tasks related to facility and equipment maintenance and installations Maintain a full, consistent commitment to safety in all aspects Develop methods and schedules for facility maintenance Responsible for handling emergencies or after-hours calls for repair and maintenance Take part in developing maintenance policies and standards for the organization Assist in developing training sessions in facility operations and maintenance Plan daily tasks and delegate them to third-party professionals if needed Maintain preventive maintenance standards for an organization's facilities and equipment Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues with computerized control systems Work independently and with major equipment suppliers to troubleshoot and repair defective machine parts and equipment Operate hoisting and lifting devices, including cranes, jacks, and forklifts, to position parts during installation and removal Align equipment using specialized tools, such as micrometers and squares Perform preventative maintenance procedures and accurately log maintenance Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect irregularities Apply mechanical repair principles and procedures to ensure machinery functions properly. Review and follow highly technical and complex machinery manuals Perform diagnostic tests on functioning machinery to ensure it's safe Routinely inspect various elements of buildings and grounds, like overhead doors, lighting, perimeter fencing, heating and ventilation, and sprinkler systems Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Work in a structured organization with minimal supervision and a positive attitude. Maintain positive working relationships with other company employees.

What you bring:



Millwright certification or equivalent trade certification Five or more years of practical experience as a Millwright or in a relevant field Knowledge of quality assurance, environmental health, and safety standards is essential Extensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical diagnostics Ability to identify issues and decide on required actions Knowledge and ability to work with computerized controls Confident with planning maintenance schedules Strong English written and oral communication skills Excellent interpersonal and delegation skills Ability to analyze and solve problems Savviness with computers and Microsoft Office Suite Critical-thinking skills Dexterity and physical stamina The ability to handle many tasks at the same time and meet deadlines, while keeping cool An approachable, positive and enthusiastic attitude Flexibility to work overtime if required.
