Bring your passion, bring your energy, and be part of a global team that appreciates a simple truth: Diversity + Collaboration = Great Innovation Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for achieving the operational objectives of his/her department by effectively managing the Maintenance employees (mechanical and electrical) and subcontractors. You will control Health and Safety risks within your department by encouraging the adoption of best maintenance practices, and you will ensure the accuracy of planned work schedules. Finally, you will be responsible for the rigorous application of the computerized preventive maintenance system processes to optimize the operational efficiency and performance of the department. Your responsibilities
  • Effectively perform the planned work order schedule while respecting the allocated maintenance budgets.
  • Ensure optimal execution of operations by achieving occupational health and safety targets and controlling identified OHS risks.
  • Manage the Maintenance employees (4 employees) and subcontractors (building & housekeeping) under your responsibility and ensure the quality of their work.
  • Participate in the implementation and development of continuous improvement projects in the plant.
  • Apply, maintain, and improve the processes of the preventive maintenance computer system.
Your background
  • College diploma in a field related to employment
  • 3 to 5 years of experience managing staff in a unionized environment
  • Maintenance experience in a plant environment with electrical and mechanical components
  • Leadership and know-how to create buy-in for proposed solutions and rally your team around goals
  • Strong health and safety, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Rigor and agility to handle projects within scope, budgets, and timelines
  • Agility to work with different technology tools
  • Proficiency with Office Suite and CMMS software
  • Fluency in spoken and written French, and a basic knowledge of English
