Maintenance Electrician Night Shift

Summary: In this position you will be reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. As the Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining equipment in the entire facility on the Night Shift. Work Shift: Night shift (Sunday to Friday 10:30 pm to 6:30 am) Assigned shift will be night shift (10:30pm to 6:30am). A regular work week will consist of five 7 ½ hour shifts on Sunday night through Friday morning, which is a total of 37.5 hours. Night shift also has a shift premium. On call support will be required on occasion as well as once a month Preventative Maintenance (weekends). Please be advised that your assigned shift may change at any time and at a future date in order to meet business requirements. If this does occur, we will provide appropriate notice, and will work closely with you to transition your shift pattern. Your hours of work may vary and be irregular and will be those hours required to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the position. Overtime will be paid as per the current overtime policy - time and one half is after 37.5 hours and double time follows 48 hours in a week. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Extremely Safety conscious, practice safe work habits and maintain work areas in a 5S environment. Follow and enforce all Collins safety policies with great care and due diligence.
  • To maintain and support the facility and all facility and production related equipment.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns or malfunctions on a priority basis.
  • Analyze, identify, evaluate and troubleshoot the problems to determine the points of errors and make the necessary repairs.
  • Identify the RCCA and turn backs to make the necessary proactive measures to eliminate future equipment issues.
  • This position requires a sound knowledge of troubleshooting and repairs of CNC production and surface treatment machinery including:
  • Automatic tool changers, Work/Pallet Changers, Axis support/motor replacement and main spindle support/motor replacement etc.
  • Steam systems, pumps, piping, chillers and general chemical handling equipment
  • Demonstrated proficiency reading and interpretation of schematics, both North American and European, and have a full understanding of Feedback devices, Measuring systems (Heidenhain, Inductosyn etc.), Relay logic, Electronics, PLC, and Motor controls both VSD’s and conventional.
  • Proficiency with Mechanical/Hydraulic and Pneumatic concepts related to Machine tools.
  • Completing CMMS work orders with accurate notations and files on the equipment and also ordering the necessary parts as required.
  • Fully support CORE (The RTX Operating System) with focus on the TPM process.
  • Coordinating and scheduling repairs with Shop load and/or contractors.
  • Experience in Vibration analysis and/or Laser operations, Machine alignments, and general Machine tool maintenance.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
  • Ability to operate CNC controls in Maintenance mode.
  • Strong understanding of CNC Machine diagnostics.
Basic Qualifications :
  • Certificate from a University, College or Technical school in the trade of Licensed Electrician Construction & Maintenance (309A or Industrial Electrician License (442) mandatory
  • Minimum 5 - 10 years experience in a manufacturing environment; previous experience with CNC PLC controls/drives and general chemical handling equipment is required.
  • Successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP.
