The Production Artist role will provide on-site client support to the marketing channel delivery team with day-to-day production of a variety of marketing materials. This position will work closely with the team on development, design and execution of new core brand programs, promotions, and custom POS. The day to day will include work on an array of marketing materials for our retail client, including signage, emails, websites, social and more. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenace Specialist/Planner is the key contact to the maintenance service team, production, OEM contacts, contractors and regulatory bodies. The Planner schedules and coordinates planned maintenance work, ensuring follow-up and accountability to optimize equipment condition and reliability.What you will do

• Coordinate the work of maintenance contractors and internal trades with the production schedule;
• Provide technical support and the necessary documentation, instructions and schematics to production within a context focused on team problem-solving and continuous improvement;
• Ensure that all documentation and instructions are revised and up to date;
• Order materials, equipment parts and site supplies as required;
• Develop hands-on knowledge of production equipment, parts, function and processes through observation and continuous engagement on the production floor;
• Ensure the accuracy of equipment while reviewing to assess trends and recommend improvements;
• Assesses labor requirements for a full day, every day, for each employee;
• Ensure adequate training of employees and compliance with LOTO policies and SOP standards put in place;
• Ensure the follow-up of preventive, predictive and breakdown tasks are completed in a timely matter;
• Ensure follow-up, planning & execution for work requests depending on priority levels;
• Follow all SOP\'s applicable to the work assigned;
• Perform all other duties as requested by Management in order to help the team effort;
• Work as part of a team, follow and adhere to Transcontinental\'s code of ethics and participate in the Continuous Improvements efforts;
• Fully understand and adhere to all relevant Environmental, Health and Safety, Human Resources, Quality, Security and Company policies and procedures;
• Work in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act of Ontario, the Workplace Safety Insurance Act and all other applicable legislated environmental, health & safety regulations.

What you have to offer

• Minimum post-secondary education, an Engineering diploma would be as asset;
• Must be comfortable with computers and learning new software, AutoCAD experience is an asset;
• Must have knowledge of electricity and mechanics;
• Strong time management skills, including prioritizing tasks, work orders, projects;
• Strong communication skills, must be able to communicate daily with the maintenance team, production leaders and vendors;
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions;
• Ability to manage projects and work overtime as required.
