Maintenance and Project Manager with a strong operational background.
A Maintenance and Project Manager will oversee all installations, repairs and upkeep operations of the company's facilities as well as manage projects relating to repair, renovation or restoration of properties. You will be the one to ensure that your team have the best resources available to complete their duties within the required budgets.
The goal is to ensure that company's facilities are well-cared for and adequate to support the company's business operations to its full potential.
We are seeking a candidate who can manage a flexible schedule, with the ability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays. This is not a seasonal position, and the candidate must be prepared to commit to this position long term.
Duties Include but are not limited to:
Develop and implement projects for the renovation, restoration or expansion of properties. Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate construction projects to modify the properties as required.
Oversee the installation, maintenance and repair of buildings and plant infrastructure including machinery, equipment and electrical and mechanical systems.
Direct the maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, electrical and mechanical systems.
Develop maintenance procedures and ensure correct implementation.
Develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventative maintenance programs.
Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues
Check HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration systems of buildings to ensure functionality each season
Plan, coordinate and oversee all repair and installation projects
Hire and oversee training and supervision of staff working with HR and managers throughout the organization
Allocate workload and supervise maintenance staff
Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance
Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
Use our Upkeep maintenance management system and keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities
Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed at all times
Plan and manage the maintenance operations budget
Plan, organize and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security and snow removal
Requirement/Skills
Must hold VALID Work Authorization and Driving License
Proven experience as construction and maintenance manager or other similar managerial role
Experience in planning maintenance operations
Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, HVAC, refrigeration, etc.
Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
Ability to keep track of and report on activity, understanding of monitoring equipment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
