We have a great opportunity with our MacKay River team at our SAGD operation near Fort McMurray, Alberta. Reporting to the MacKay River Planning Lead, you will be accountable for the planning of labour, materials, external services, access methods and equipment rentals for both daily and outage mechanical maintenance activities.
Key Accountabilities:
Identify and handle all factors relevant to achieving safe, environmentally responsible, and cost-effective mechanical maintenance plans
Improve resource productivity by identifying mechanical availability while minimizing costs for the equipment and ensuring that safety is built into every work order
Work closely with various teams to develop seamless interfaces between functions, to enable the safe, consistent, and reliable planning of all maintenance activities
Manage and adjust planning priorities according to a combination of factors such as operational requirements, plant risk, defect analysis, and major event calendar dates
Prepare job plans to include the logical sequencing of associated tasks, taking into account multi-craft alignment
Maintain and continuously improve job plans and task lists, through analysis of previous work order history, soliciting planning feedback, performing workplace observations, and field walk downs
Ensure compliance to all our relevant policies and standards including the management of change (MOC) process and maintenance business processes and provide input into the development of procedures and standards
Be a key member in the integrated maintenance team, working together with reliability engineers, supply chain management, and operations
Qualifications:
Mechanical trade certificate or diploma in a relevant technical field or equivalent technical or operational experience
Two or more years of related working knowledge of maintenance and reliability in SAGD facilities, fixed plant, utilities or infrastructure
One or more years of planning experience working in oil and gas, water processing plant, or a similar industrial environment
Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of programs
Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (preferably S4)
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
Possess a valid driver's licence and a clean driving record
Experience with GWOS, IGS, or other scheduling tools
Experience with Fieldglass & Ariba
Deep understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling concepts as well as maintenance practices, performance measures, scheduling tools and techniques
Ability to read and interpret equipment specifications, engineering drawings, single line diagrams, isometric drawings, charts, tables, and other engineering records

You will work out of our MacKay River SAGD location North West of Fort McMurray, Alberta
