POSITION SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Millwright will work directly with the Maintenance Manager to provide on-going support to our production team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

\xc2\xb7 Set up, repair, modify and maintain processes and packaging equipment

\xc2\xb7 Trouble shoot HVAC and refrigeration equipment

\xc2\xb7 Perform preventative maintenance within a preventative maintenance program and maintain records

\xc2\xb7 Respond to equipment issues in a customer oriented manner

\xc2\xb7 Responsible for working safely, following safety policies and wearing required PPE

\xc2\xb7 Other duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

EDUCATION & PREREQUISITES:

\xc2\xb7 Millwright certification

\xc2\xb7 Successful completion of an accredited packaging or maintenance mechanic course is an asset

\xc2\xb7 Valid Class G license

KEY COMPETENCIES:

\xc2\xb7 Good communication skills (written and verbal)

\xc2\xb7 Ideal candidate will be a team-oriented individual with a strong, self-directed work ethic

\xc2\xb7 Ability to juggle multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines is a necessity

\xc2\xb7 Available for both day and night shifts and be able to work 40-50 hours per week including weekends as required

\xc2\xb7 Flexibility to meet company\xe2\x80\x99s needs

QUALIFICATIONS:

\xc2\xb7 Electrical and mechanical knowledge

\xc2\xb7 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

\xc2\xb7 Able to read electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics

\xc2\xb7 Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office

\xc2\xb7 Strong verbal and written communication skills are required

\xc2\xb7 Exceptional organizational and problem solving skills

\xc2\xb7 Comprehensive knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, SOPs and safety procedures (particular emphasis on lockout procedures)

\xc2\xb7 Working knowledge of CMMS programs

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

\xc2\xb7 Majority of time is spent in production areas, which includes a refrigerated environment, oven and cooking areas

\xc2\xb7 Potential local travel (ex: to pick up parts or to service additional buildings)
