THE ROLE

Canadian Linen is looking for Plant Maintenance Mechanic for our building, yard, minor mechanical repairs on Conveyor and Railing systems. The successful incumbent will maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures rules and regulations.

What you'll do:

Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations Operate wastewater system Operation of air compressor, Air Dryer, Low volume boiler, Hot water tanks and other utilities equipment. Fix/replace lights and ballasts in light fixtures in the building & outside. Building maintenance - any building-related repairs Metricon system conveyors maintenance - cleaning, replace worn conveyor tubing, Performing preventive maintenance - plant equipment - mat rollers, finishing tunnel conveyor chains, ironers, shipping rails (Planiform), scissor lift, forklift Maintenance of Futurail soiled linen rail system Provide emergency / unscheduled / scheduled repairs of production equipment during production. Any other maintenance job as required

We are looking for individuals who are:

Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position (including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently and push/pull up to 300 lbs. assisted) Minimum educational requirement of high school diploma OR GED with relevant work experience and trade certificates Self-motivation and ability to work in an environment without direct supervision for extended periods of time. Ability to act in accordance with Standard Procedures supporting company-wide Operational, Service and Safety guidelines A positive attitude and demonstration of core values including Integrity, Trust, Respect & Responsibility.

Skills and Competencies

Mechanically inclined, Excellent time management and problem-solving skills Productive, organized, and flexible
