This position is responsible for performing routine general maintenance and repairs throughout the production facility. Key Responsibilities:
- Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
- Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
- Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
- Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
- Requests supervisor to place orders and install replacement parts for machines.
- Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
- Repaired broken machines quickly and efficiently.
- Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
- Collaborates with supervisor (and production team if required) regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required.
- Makes necessary modifications and implements tests run and makes additional alterations to machinery as required.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Maintain and repair manufacturing and facility equipment according to documented operating procedures,
- Ensures that all duties are performed in compliance with work instructions, standard operating
- Work within the team to review the operation of manufacturing and plant equipment to minimize unplanned downtime
- Anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and make recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems.
- Maintain accurate preventative records and prepares reports documenting work performed.
- Work with contractors as required.
- Cleans organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
- Maintain maintenance tools and equipment in an organized, clean, and safe condition ensuring equipment and facility adhere to all applicable safety/health requirements.
