Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools

Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions

Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts

Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery

Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment

Modify, repair, install, maintain, improve and troubleshoot various types of packing & process equipment in food manufacturing

Diagnose mechanical problems and provide quick, innovative solutions for mechanical equipment breakdowns by applying proven skills in the principles of mechanics, fitting, plumbing, basic welding, metal work, machining, troubleshooting and analytical problem solving

Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records

Perform preventative maintenance and trouble shooting

Recommend solutions to routine and unique equipment problems

Response to equipment problems in a timely manner

Integrating all plant, quality, safety and security policies and guidelines into all day to day activities on the job

Maintain high standards of cleanliness and general housekeeping

All other duties as assigned

Skills And Education:

Follow verbal and written instructions in English related to job duties

Work in a team environment with continuous improvement efforts

Operate machine shop equipment

Repetitive tasks & standing for extended periods

Handling medium heavy loads (up to 23kg/50 lbs)

Attention to detail

Completion of secondary school is required

1+ years previous experience in a food manufacturing environment performing relevant repair tasks to manufacturing machinery and equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
