Techo-Bloc is seeking an innovative and passionate Maintenance Manager to oversee our Saint-Hubert plants. As a maintenance professional, you will build programs for preventive and proactive maintenance and coach our maintenance team by being a role model for thoroughness and proactivity. Here is a snapshot of your day-to-day:
  • Utilize your extensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical concepts to oversee the facility plant, repairs and various maintenance projects;
  • Manage a team of plant maintenance technicians, forklift drivers and store clerks;
  • Be a role model for health and safety and reinforce safe behaviors in the plants;
  • Performs the planning and scheduling activities for corrective and preventive maintenance work orders to improve uptime;
  • Responsible for identifying materials, supplies, and repair parts needed and oversees their procurement, to maintain proper inventory and to minimize equipment failures;
  • Manages plant maintenance costs and budgets;
  • Develop and implement Project Management practices;
  • Lead complex industrial troubleshooting through planning, and execution in both mechanical and electrical breakdowns;
  • Keep detailed maintenance records on all equipment and tasks performed on the equipment by maintenance team;
  • Direct and lead site PLC Controls strategy and execution;
  • Work in close collaboration with operations and R&D personnel, outside contractors and vendors;
  • Assist with calculations, projections and applications for fabrication and layout;
  • Apply Lean (TPM), Safety and Ergonomic principles to production equipment.
  • Spends 70 % of time on the shop floor not in the office;
  • This role is designed as a Monday to Friday fulltime position,; however, the right candidate has the willingness to work flexible manufacturing schedules including nights, weekends, etc. when needs demand;


Qualifications
Your Experience
  • Bachelor\'s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering or professional study diploma or related field;
  • Seven to ten (7+) years of experience working with manufacturing and industrial maintenance processes;
  • Five years of supervising experience
  • Strong familiarity with electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, automation, and mechanics;
  • Electrical experience in PLC\xe2\x80\x99s and plant automation;
  • Team Management; Ability to mentor and train others in both mechanical and electrical aspects.

  • Dedication to proactive thinking, collaboration and communication.
