Job Description

We are looking for a talented Maintenance Manager to join our team specializing in sales for our #NewPower Business Unit in Mississauga, Ontario. _ In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: _

  • Supervising and leading all maintenance processes and operations.
  • Tracking expenses and overseeing the budget for maintenance.
  • Maintaining all machinery to ensure it's at working standards.
  • Creating and implementing maintenance procedures.
  • Conducting regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.
  • Planning and managing all repair and installation activities.
  • Ensuring all department workers adhere to the safety policies and procedures.
HSE Responsibility:
  • Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Stop work and immediately report any major injury hazards.
  • Immediately report any work-related injury, illness, incident or hazard.
  • Comply with HSE standards, policies & procedures. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) for protection of themselves and others.
  • Work to promote an interdependent culture by looking out for one another.
  • Correct hazards and safety concerns within their control and capabilities. Engage in HSE training. Quality Follows all applicable standard work, process documentation and quality procedures such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), and visual standards.
To be successful in this role you will need the following: Requirement:
  • Bachelor's degree in, Engineering or facility management, or a similar field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years experience in maintenance.
  • Previous managerial experience is a bonus.
  • Good understanding of the technical features of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
  • Strong knowledge facilities machines and equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience as maintenance manager or another managerial role
  • Experience in planning maintenance operations
  • Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
  • Ability to keep track of and report on activity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
  • Valid Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) will be a plus
  • Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.
  • Works with Senior Project Manager as a support resource on projects
  • Maintains the CMMS and reports on KPI's (MTTF, MTTR, Machine/Asset Uptime, OEE etc.)
