Summary:



The position of Maintenance Manager will be responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving to ensure the machines are in proper working order to meet production demands.

/ Responsibilities:



Implement and maintain the serviceability of the plant and its equipment in a safe and suitable condition for the use by machine operators. Plans, organizes, directs, controls and evaluates the Maintenance department. Administers safety standards through daily observation and interventions. Oversees the installation, maintenance and repair of machines, equipment, electrical and mechanical systems and building infrastructures Ensures compliance to plant safety programs and policies, and communicates safety issues/concerns Provide maintenance support to plant facility with CNC machines. Consult with Plant and General Managers to develop equipment maintenance schedules and recommend the replacement of machines. Working self-sufficiently with the team to complete projects whether it be repairs or new installations Work to tight deadlines when machines are down to maintain and repair any mechanical issues. Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, identify root cause, repair or rebuild production equipment as required. Knowledge and experience in PLC troubleshooting Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical systems and contact tradespersons for major repairs. Maintain stock of maintenance supplies and parts Secure and manage the work of external service providers, determine terms of reference, negotiates and monitors contractual agreements for specialized maintenance, grounds and renovation work, as required. Interface with internal and external customers ensuring effective communications regarding status and priority of work. Ensures maintenance personnel are properly trained and following documented procedures including the operation, setup, and changeover or repairing of equipment. Technical Repair and Diagnostics (Mechanical and electrical) Contribute to the development of operational projects pertaining to HVAC, electrical plumbing and mechanical Setup, takedown, and relocation of CNC Machinery and components Provide solution to routine or unique equipment problems Promptly respond to equipment related issues with customer oriented manner Maintain a clean and orderly work area organized tools and equipment.

Qualifications, Skills & Abilities Required:



Millwright License or equivalent experience. Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment with a diversified demographic Previous CNC machine experience. Good knowledge of preventative maintenance, work order and scheduling techniques; Minimum 4 years mechanical experience in a high speed manufacturing environment Strong listening skills and attention to detail Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety and Lockout Procedures Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management software Good knowledge of preventative maintenance programs Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) Experience with electrical systems Basic Electrical skills (Licensed Electrician an asset)
