McCain Foods (Canada) is currently seeking a Maintenance Manager to join our Leadership Team at the Florenceville Prepared Foods Plant in Florenceville-Bristol, New Brunswick. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Plant Maintenance:

• Provide direction for maintaining and operating all physical processing equipment so as to minimize downtime.
• Implement Root Cause Analysis on reoccurring equipment and component failures
• Participate and support in McCain Driving Impact (MDI) to drive engagement with operators and tradespeople.
• Research and become an equipment subject matter expert supporting Operations, Quality, Safety, MDI, and other departments, and to support plant efforts to achieve cost reduction and other goals.
• Actively monitor maintenance Key Performance Indicators (KPI), complete maintenance assessments and audits as required.
• Oversee, maintain, and continuously improve the preventive and predictive maintenance program.
• Develop, monitor and forecast the maintenance budget and deliver results at or below budget.
• Support stockroom Maintenance, Rebuild and Overhaul (MRO) inventories and activities.
• Ensure successful integration of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) tools and processes.
• Contribute to the capital project planning process for upgrades and asset life resetting.
• Support capital project implementations through construction, commissioning and startup. Act as project manager as assigned.

Safety, Food Safety and Compliance:

• Contribute to plant safety performance through support and ownership of continuous improvement efforts.
• Uphold the highest expectations for maintenance safety performance through regular communication and training of maintenance personnel in compliance with plant safety programs (i.e., Lock Out, Arcflash, Elevated work, Confined space, etc.), and eliminating identified safety hazards.
• Ensure complete compliance with food safety regulations with ongoing communication and monitoring of plant food safety programs (i.e., Sanitation after Maintenance, condition inspection, etc.), and eliminating identified food safety hazards.
• Uphold all insurance requirements for loss prevention such as Hot work management
• Ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations. Maintain ISO 14001 certification.
• Ensure all other compliance requirements as it applies to federal, provincial and local authorities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Foster a culture of employee engagement and accountability, an ability to set clear expectations, clearly communicate and effectively listen and join in the journey to lead McCain Florenceville to excellence.

• Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department.
• Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization\xe2\x80\x99s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; coaching, recognizing, and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Maintain and coordinate an ongoing development program for the maintenance personnel to enhance their skills, performance, and promotability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Engineering and a Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng) is considered a strong Asset.
• A relevant combination of Red Seal Journeyman or Technologist and experience will also be considered.
• Proven track record of leadership with 5 + years\xe2\x80\x99 of supervisory experience within a Manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing projects, budgets, and a CMMS program.
