Job Description

JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Maintenance Helper to join our growing team.

Requirements:

• Complying with JELD-WEN EH&S requirements, legal requirements including policies, standards, rules, and programs
• Must be able to work as part of a team and execute JELD-WEN Vision and Values
• Prior experience within JELD-WEN would also be considered a strong asset.
• Must demonstrate a high level of ambition & initiative.
• Must be quality conscious.
• Must possess good verbal and written communications abilities.
• Must have a minimum of high-school level mathematical skills.
• Must be able to pass the technical exam.
• Must have acceptable manual skills with hand tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist our Maintenance Trades people with their work to repair machines, complete preventative maintenance, and shop work.
• Clean and organize the maintenance area.
• Stock incoming parts in their correct locations.
• Clean and repair small parts as required by Maintenance Trades people.
• Wear all necessary personal protective equipment and ensure workforce complies with Cardinal Rules
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the assigned Department.
• Always promote and participate in a safe working environment.
• Other duties as required.
