JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 2 years hotel maintenance experience preferred Good customer service skills Aware of guest security requirements Good written, oral and organizational skills Must be comfortable with shift work Exceptional troubleshooting skills, able to work through problems without supervision Self-motivated; always a positive outlook High level of creativity and innovation Strong interpersonal skills; strong team member and leader MSDS / WHMIS training Pool Operator 1 certificate preferred

PRIMARY DUTIES

Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Engineering Department, achieving maximum employee job satisfaction and guest satisfaction while adhering to the standards of the Hotel Repairing vacuums, carts and general servicing Completing work order requests Ensure the pool and hot tub has proper PH and chlorine levels Participating in the Health and Safety programs Assisting trades persons as required Other duties as assigned Experienced in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting Knowledge of Ving Lock system Guest Room preventative Maintenance program Assist if necessary to remove garbage (example-if there is no house person on evening shift) General cleaning of all interior and exterior areas, in conjunction with house person Proper cleanup of exterior as well as any minor landscaping required Assist with delivery of goods Fixing daily requests on maintenance request forms Changing light bulbs Any other duties as required to ensure Guest satisfaction
