Category in this province. THE ROLE Browning Harvey Limited is currently looking for a permanent Maintenance employee in our St. John\xe2\x80\x99s facility. This role, which is a unionized position with NAPE Local 7003, includes industry leading wages ($38.97/hr), a progressive vacation schedule, uniform allocations, and group benefits and a pension plan. Skilled Maintenance Technicians support the production, quality, cost and safety goals of the manufacturing operation and plant facilities. All skilled personnel are responsible for preventive maintenance, process and equipment improvements and effective troubleshooting. These responsibilities include:

• Support production operating objectives by providing plant instrumentation and electrical troubleshooting and maintenance
• Program, troubleshoot, modify and/or repair PLC\xe2\x80\x99s, HMI, Drives (AC/DC), controllers, and computer- based control systems, robotics and other electronic equipment.
• Working knowledge of P&ID loops, single line diagrams, isometrics, schematics.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair measuring and control devices
• Install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair various types of process control valves
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment or systems. (Involving circuits, relay logic, wiring, motors, servo drives, etc.)
• Troubleshoot, repair and installation of pumps, gearboxes, and motors

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, contractors, and the public as necessitated by the work THE CANDIDATE The successful candidate will have completed their Journeyman Industrial Mechanic/Millwright, Journeyman
Industrial Electrician Certification/Journeyman Instrumentation Certification. A Power Engineering Certification would be considered an asset. The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:

• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
• Familiarity in the operation and maintenance of conveyor systems, pumps, gearboxes, drive systems and industrial automation.
• Familiarity with Allen Bradley PLC\xe2\x80\x99s, programming software and variable frequency drives would be considered an asset.
• Superior oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule determined by business requirements
• Proven ability to work with a diverse group in a dynamic environment
• Strong organization and time-management skills
