KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform
preventative maintenance
according to specifications and instructions from Maintenance Management.
Maintain and
repair production equipment
, the building, and all electrical components.
Design and build
electrical panels
for machinery.
Develop and implement
electrical circuits
to enhance equipment performance.
Diagnose and resolve
electrical and mechanical issues
to minimize downtime.
Ensure
compliance with CSA codes
and industry regulations for industrial establishments.
Accurately document maintenance activities and report findings.
Work within guidelines of
Occupational Health & Safety
to maintain a safe work environment.
Support automation initiatives and improvements in electrical systems.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Electrician license (309A or 442A)
from Ontario or another Canadian province.
Comprehensive understanding of
electrical circuitry
and industrial systems
Knowledge of
PLCs, maintenance shop machinery, and electronics
Minimum
5 years
of relevant experience
Minimum 1 year of experience in the food industry
Minimum 1 year of automation experience
Minimum 1 year of PLC and VFD experience
Experience with
commercial building wiring
and familiarity with
CSA codes
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Technical education in mechanics or engineering
Experience working with
MaintainX
or similar digital work order management systems
Advanced PLC Programming & Troubleshooting
- Experience with various
PLC systems
Electrical Design & Automation
- Knowledge of
SCADA, HMI, and industrial automation

Industrial Robotics & Controls
- Familiarity with
robotic systems

automated production lines

Additional Certifications
- Such as
Red Seal Certification
