Join us as our new Maintenance Craftsman
This position is responsible for assisting Engineering with the daily performance of maintenance and handyman activities for the Saskatoon site, including documentation and coordination with service providers.
In this role you'll make an impact by:
Performing cleaning and/or preventative maintenance according to set schedules.
Receiving and responding to maintenance requests from all Saskatoon departments in a timely fashion and, with the appropriate approval, contacts external service personnel when required.
Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems, makes adjustments, repairs, and/or performs preventative maintenance on equipment, or machinery and site property.
Assisting outside contractors, as required, including Site Orientation and completing Job Hazard Analysis.
Performing monthly site checklists and maintains confidentiality and accuracy of appropriate documentation.
Assisting with start-up and troubleshooting of new production equipment.
Identifying and recommending improvements to production equipment and lines.
Advising Supply Operations Team Leader of all maintenance and repair problems.
Performing duties in accordance and stays current with applicable law, rules, regulations and/or policies and procedures.
Protect their health and safety by working in compliance with established safe working practices.
Participating in the maintenance of the Quality and Environmental Management Systems by following established Novonesis sustainability policies, local, Provincial and Federal regulatory requirements, and adhering to the ISO 9001 and 14001 Standards.
To succeed you must hold:
Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent education.
Experience working with production equipment is an asset.
Knowledge of pneumatics, electrical, reducers and drives, conveyors, automation equipment, welding, and power tools also an asset.
Strong knowledge and understanding of Novonesis production processes.
Good organization skills and effective written and oral communication skills.
Must possess visual acuity and physical abilities to support all functions of position.
