The Maintenance Coordinator ensures that maintenance and work orders are planned, executed, and documented correctly.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting the plant's equipment repair strategy, ensuring that maintenance is centered on minimizing the root causes of lower-than-target OEE
Working with the scheduler and production supervisor to ensure that PMs and work orders are put into the production schedule just like a customer order, and that orders are shifted accordingly, to balance maintenance requirements and customer demand
Updating the work order database (Brightly), ensuring critical work orders (i.e., safety) are scheduled as soon as reasonably possible, while non-essential work orders are shifted to non-production times
Maintaining a record of completed work orders along with parts consumed for ongoing failure analysis
Coordinating outside vendors for maintenance-related activities: inventory management, equipment upgrades, annual preventive maintenance checks, and machine troubleshooting (hydraulic and pneumatic leak checks, vibration analysis for bearing wear, thermography)
Tracking where maintenance personnel are working and the duration of scheduled work
Overseeing storeroom organization and inventory, and coordinating periodic cycle counts
Confirming that all parts required for maintenance are on hand to prior to commencing work
Reviewing cleanup after maintenance work is performed to address any uncovered discrepancies
Helping facilitate communication back to the individual machine centers about the status of open work orders
Facilitate the purchasing process by either requesting necessary parts to complete the repairs or purchasing the necessary spares to re-stock to Parts Room.
Skills, Abilities & Expectations:
3 -5 years as a Maintenance Coordinator or similar role within a maintenance team.
2 years experience in a food manufacturing facilities is an asset.
Can communicate in an open, helpful and engaging manner.

Must have drivers license.

Must be able to create positive relationships with external contractors and vendors.
