Maintenance & Construction Labourer

to join our team of great humans.

Our ideal candidate is someone who is versatile and eager to learn. Someone who enjoys variety and jumps in to help no matter what the task is. Alongside our property management team, you are responsible for assisting with tenant work orders, completing tasks for unit turnovers, and self-performing ongoing preventative maintenance inspections of equipment and systems throughout our portfolio of properties. In addition, you will provide support on some of our active construction sites to keep the projects moving forward safely and on time.

Duties & Requirements:

Respond to work order tickets from the property management system and complete general maintenance tasks such as changing faucets, trouble-shooting heat pump systems, repairing doors and locking mechanisms. Conduct annual and periodic inspections of equipment at multiple buildings including HVAC, fire and life safety equipment, and alarm systems. Correct deficiencies found during tenant move outs including drywall patching, painting, and cleaning. Loading/unloading and carrying/stacking materials. Lifting and carrying 50lbs is a regular part of the job. Setting up construction signage and maintaining cleanliness at our active construction sites. Light carpentry duties including installing/removing safety handrails. Must be able to read measuring tape and take simple measurements. Must be able to safely use hand and power tools including drills and skill saws. Must have a driver's license with a clean driver's abstract and access to a vehicle. Must be available to be on call during some scheduled weekends and evenings to respond to urgent maintenance requests. Living near downtown Dartmouth would be considered an asset!

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
