MAINTENANCE CLERK Pilot Coffee Roasters

Position:
Maintenance Clerk Location: Pilot Coffee Roasters, Toronto, ON Starting Salary: $50k per annum
We are currently looking for a full time Maintenance Clerk to join our team. This person will ensure the optimal utilization of Pilot\'s facilities and assesses and evaluates the physical space requirements of the organization with recommendations to meet needs. The Maintenance Clerk also ensures proper functioning of facilities through ongoing inspection and maintenance and is responsible for general office administrative tasks.
Primary Duties + Responsibilities

  • Performs general maintenance tasks including sweeping, general cleaning, garbage removal, general repairs and installations, such as painting, installing shelves, fixing locks, etc.
  • Coordinate ongoing, weekly, monthly or annually property maintenance tasks, such as vehicle maintenance and services, Hvac filters and services, appliances/equipment checks to ensure cleanliness and their operational, seasonal landscaping and regular day to day upkeep
  • Inspects daily exterior areas, door/window closures, door handles and hinges and other like devices and reports findings to Manager
  • Managers assigned work requests. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair. Order necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks
  • Assembles, repairs or relocates furniture as required. Responsible for cubicle and/or workspace moves and clean outs
  • Assists in construction and renovation projects, meets trades if required, does deliveries of equipment
  • Supports with new Cafe openings including but not limited to Cafe set up
  • Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed
  • Replies timely to all work requests submitted by Pilot team members regarding deficiencies in equipment and building systems
  • Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety
  • Provide general administrative support to all areas of the business, including but not limited to, preparing, printing, and laminating documents, and general administrative support for the Team
  • Overseeing office stationery inventory and ordering
  • Conducts several administrative tasks and assists other departments when required

Hours
  • Hours of operation at the site will vary depending on the needs of the business
  • Occasional weekend work for building maintenance and special projects and as required by the business

Skills and Experience
  • 3-5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a technical/equipment role
  • Possession of a valid G-class driver\xe2\x80\x99s license with a clean driving record is a requirement
  • High school diploma with completion of an industrial maintenance vocational or technical school program an asset
  • Specialized skills such as electrical, mechanical and welding etc. is highly recommended
  • Good computer skills, including Google Suites
  • Strong technical problems-solving skills
  • Knowledge of WHIMIS, Food Safety and Health & Safety practices would be an asset

Working Conditions
  • Operation of a company vehicle is required in the Toronto area, as well as regionally to vendor locations
