Job Description

Location: Toronto Hybrid: 2 Days Onsite

What will you do?
The onsite associate has to attend agile sessions with the product owner in refining detailed requirements, assess the impact of the application due to new requirements, and provide high-level estimates by sharing requirement details and discussing with the offshore team. He/she should participate in regular meetings with offshore, prepare and share high-level solution design as well as present the same with clients. Schedule walk thru with the maintenance team, deploy code changes to test environments and then to production environment. Also, he/she should provide warranty support of changed deployed by monitoring daily and monthly batch flows.
Qualifications:

• 
  8+ years or more of working Mainframe experience.
• Should have IMS working experience and good knowledge on regular, DB2 and IMS COBOL modules.
• Should have good knowledge in writing JCLs, SORT and ICETOOL.
• Should be able to write SAS/FOCUS jobs to do any quick reporting and/or quick production data fixes.
• Have knowledge in creating and managing VSAM datasets and logic for reading/writing data from VSAM files.
• He/she should be able to investigate any emergency issues or production problems and provide updates to the business. In case of any quick data fixes are required to address any batch job failure during night batch, he/she should be able to write quick SORT/FOCUS/SAS to fix the bad data and provide instructions to continue with night batch flow.
• Have hands-on experience in DevOps process. Identify any manual processes existing in the systems or process, suggest automated solutions and make sure they are deployed into production.
• Have experience in providing design decisions, solving production job failures, and implementing medium to major projects into production.
• Have experience in working with an offshore team of size upto 10 members.
