Position SummaryAre you skilled, dedicated, and looking for an exciting opportunity? Look no further! We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Mail Room Clerk!As a vital part of our team, you\'ll report to the Mail Room Supervisor.What You\'ll Do:
- Performance of general Mail Room duties including sorting and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail
- Sorting and distribution of all courier and freight items received on campus
- Operation of a computerized postage machine
- Maintenance of computerized postage data including daily backups and monthly uploads
- Maintaining and ordering of postal supplies
- Reconciliation and allocation of Canada Post billings
- Communicating with internal and external customers and suppliers in regards to Mail Room procedures and services including dispute resolution as required
- Assuming responsibility for Mail Room operation in supervisor\'s absence

Position RequirementsWhat You\'ll Bring to this Position:
- Grade 12 combined with the successful completion of a one year business course
- A minimum of one year experience in an administrative support capacity in a Mail Room setting. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered
- Must possess a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver\'s License with no restrictions and a clean driving recordSkills That Will Ensure Your Success in the Role:
- Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member
- Demonstrated skill in the use of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to exercise appropriate independent judgment
- Demonstrated ability to provide strong customer/public relations skills in a professional and enthusiastic manner
- Demonstrated computer skills in order to effectively operate the computerized postage machine as well as associated computer programs
- Ability to effectively manage time, schedules and priorities in a fast-past environment
- Ability to sort and/or distribute mail
- Ability to understand and follow safety procedures
- Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions
- Ability to work with a minimum of supervision
- Knowledge of supplies, equipment and/or services ordering and inventory control
- Records maintenance skills
- Ability to perform work requiring the frequent lifting of moderately heavy boxes and packages as required by work demands
- Skill in the operation of a postage meter machine and postal scales would be an asset
- Knowledge of Canada Post rules and regulations would be an asset
- Knowledge of standard policies and procedures relating to Facilities Management would be an asset
