Alamos Gold Inc. Young-Davidson is currently recruiting the following challenging position to join our operations team:

Underground Development Miner - MacLean Bolter

Alamos Gold's Young-Davidson Mine is a low-cost, long-life operation and one of Canada's largest underground gold mines. With over 750 team members, the operation is located near the town of Matachewan, centrally located between Timmins, Kirkland Lake, North Bay, and Sudbury, Ontario. With a large Mineral Reserve base and strong ongoing free cash flow generation, Young-Davidson will serve Alamos' foundation for many years to come. Reporting to the Development Supervisor, the successful candidate must have the ability to lead the mine crew in the installation of ground support using a MacLean bolter.

Primary Responsibilities:

Identify unsafe condition in underground headings; Install/Repair services in underground headings; Install ground support using mechanized bolting equipment; Keep track of all work progress and communicate to supervisor's status of workplace; Perform assigned duties in a safe and efficient manner; Must be able to perform preoperational inspections on equipment and operate in an efficient and safe manner; and All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

Accreditation of basic common core; Accreditation of specialty common core; Ability to comprehend engineering prints; Self - motivated, ability to work alone; Strong Safety focus; 7 years plus underground mining experience; 2 years of Maclean Bolting experience; and Preferred candidates will be proficient in the installation of ground support with mechanized bolter.

Schedule:5-5-4 rotating schedule
