CNC Lathe Operator

Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating CNC machinery, specifically lathes. This role is crucial for producing high-quality components that meet precise specifications while adhering to safety and efficiency standards.

Duties

Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce parts according to engineering specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements. Program CNC machines using Fanuc controls to ensure accurate production. Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards. Conduct routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production. Utilize power tools and other equipment for fabrication and assembly tasks as needed. Collaborate with team members to implement Lean manufacturing principles for continuous improvement in processes. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety protocols.

Experience

Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machinery effectively. Familiarity with CNC programming, particularly using Fanuc controls. Experience with Lean manufacturing practices is highly desirable. Proficiency in using power tools and understanding of welding techniques is a plus. Ability to operate forklifts safely (certification preferred). Knowledge of machining processes and fabrication techniques.
