Job Description

As a Machinist, you are responsible to operate and maintain a variety of equipment, such as -but not limited to - conventional and CNC, lathe & mill, VBM, HBM, drill press, grinders and portable machining equipment. This is a permanent full-time position located in Fort McMurray, reporting directly to the Machine Shop Superintendant.

What would you be doing?

• You will interpreting blueprints and manufacturing to drawing and tolerance specifications.
• Line boring, flange facing, cold cutting.
• Program, set up, adjust, and run all the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations.
• Layout, measure and mark materials to display placement of cuts.
• Ability to program and run CNC equipment.
• Shop and field working conditions.
• Other field machining applications as required.

• Are interested in working in the shop and out in the field
• Line boring experience
• Can estimate and measure sizes and lengths accurately
• Proficient on both conventional lathe and mill
• Have your CSO certification or willing to obtain
• Machinist Journeyman/Apprentice certificate
