WHO IS DONMAC

We are a growing manufacturing business with BIG customers. For the past 35 years we have been supplying mission critical components to trusted partners in various industries that put quality first (Medical, aerospace, defense). We have a variety of CNC lathes and custom-built manufacturing equipment that produce high quality, high quantity components with intricate levels of detail. Our customers entrust us to provide them with the repeatable solutions to help ensure their products and production lines never fail.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for well-rounded individuals that have a passion for learning and technology. An ideal candidate would have experience with Sliding Headstock CNC Swiss Lathes. However, if you possess strong mechanical skills and want to fill your days working with advanced machining and manufacturing technology then we can train you.

As you grow with our company you will be expected to learn how to program, set-up, troubleshoot and operate CNC equipment. We operate in a fast-paced production environment utilizing Multi-axis CNC Swiss lathes that have the latest technology including LFV and B-axis machining capability. Continuous improvement, and knowledge transfer is critical to our shop culture.

JOB ACTIVITIES

Learn our culture and best practices Maintain product quality Programing, set-up, and operation of multi axis Swiss CNC Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and work instructions Verify dimensions of parts using precise measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, optical comparator, CMM, Vision inspection, etc. Collaborate with engineering, QC, and management to maintain efficiency Other duties as required

SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIRED

A winning attitude with self starting capabilities Courage to challenge your assumptions and communicate your reasoning Attention to detail and analytically break down and solve problems Team orientated and dependable with reliable transportation Hobbies that include attention to detail and dexterity Be able to be on your feet for a full shift. Bend and lift 50 lbs Good housekeeping and organizational skills Strong math and science skills

Other Assets include:

Any post-secondary school or training in manufacturing, metalworking, machining, tool and die, drafting, metrology or similar is an asset Experience with Lean manufacturing principles, 5S, Six Sigma, etc Working knowledge of milling, turning, drilling, grinding, broaching, and other machine functions

REQUIREMENTS

Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident Mandatory criminal background check Speak, read, and write in English fluently Interested in long term career and committed to self growth
