Who we are:

Bristol Machine Works Limited is an ISO 9001 certified welding and machine shop located in Sudbury, Ontario Canada. We service Sudbury. Northern Ontario and various customers worldwide. Our plants specialize in the manufacturing, fabrication, and repair of a large variety of medium to larger sized products, principally used in all aspects of the mining industry. We are currently in search of a Machinist to join our team. We are also a designated RCIP Employer, aiding in Permanent Residency.

Your duties and responsibilities:

Work safely and respect the safety of co-workers Set-up, operate and maintain machinery and equipment Perform precision machining operations

Set-up requirements may include:

Part or product evaluations; Determination of optimal tooling; Selection of optimal machine with feed and speed parameters; Jig or fix design and fabrication; Development of set-up documentation; Higher level CNC programming if applicable

What you need:

Strong mechanical aptitude Secondary school graduate (Grade 12 mathematics) Completion of recognized machine shop training course such as a two-year college or pre-apprenticeship program Must have a provincial or inter-provincial Machinist Certificate of Qualification Certificate of Apprenticeship, or 4 years of machining experience typical to Machinist A level work after obtaining Machinist Certificate of Qualification Demonstrate consistent measurement repeatability Preference will be given to candidates who have 4 or more years of machining experience typical to Machinist level A work

Specializations in:

The programming and use of CNC milling or turning equipment, manual milling and turning equipment; Mechanical disassembly, evaluation, repair, and reassembly areas Preference given to candidates with skills in manual machining and floor work (strong mechanical abilities)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $42.63-$43.13 per hour
