We\'re recruiting a Machinery Technologist/ Rotating Specialist in Fort McMurray.We believe in one-time proper fixes, cross-functional collaboration, and outstanding equipment ownership.Minimum Requirements:

• Millwright Journeyman ticket, Certified Engineering Technologist Diploma, or Bachelors in Engineering degree.
• Seven years of field experience in an operating facility troubleshooting rotating equipment problems.
• Experience with Condition Monitoring data collection and analysis, equipment inspection, and scope of work development
• Experience with vibration analysis CAT 1 required, with CAT2+ being an asset
• Experience with the following equipment is required at a minimum: centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, mechanical seals, gearboxes, motors.
• Experience with reciprocating and centrifugal compressors, louvers, blowers, and fans is an asset.

Responsibilities:

• Support business units in identifying, managing, and eliminating emerging threats to operations.
• Perform equipment health monitoring tasks using process and condition monitoring data.
• Support engineering efforts to develop long term reliability improvements to eliminate bad actors and improve business reliability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support routine maintenance activities and adjust scope of work as conditions change.
• Issue a variety of reports, such as condition monitoring, failure inspection, health assessment.

Location and other Key Details:

• You will work out of our Syncrude site in Fort McMurray, Alberta
• Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours, based on business needs
• This position is safety sensitive
• Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work.
• If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory.
