Position: Machine Operator/Labourer
Location: West Ottawa
Salary: $19 per hour + 4% vacation pay
Shift: Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Job Type: Temporary to permanentDo you have experience working in a production facility? Do you enjoy working hands-on in a fast-paced environment? Then we have the position for you. Our West-end client is looking for reliable candidates to work on a full-time day shift.
These are long-term positions with the possibility of converting to permanent for the right candidates. Don\'t hesitate and reach out to us today!Details Position Summary:- Operate production equipment
- Unitize loads at end of machine
- Create tags (Amtech) and apply to loads
- Strip scrap from boxes and foam sheets / use band saw
- Bale scrap, keep a clean safe working area
- Palletize, unitize product, count inventory
- Complete quality reports and other required documentationQualifications:- High school diploma
- Experience in a similar role is an asset
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with taking exact measurements with both metric and imperial systems
- Quick learner with technical aspects of work and with production equipment
- Organization skills, detail-oriented and quality-consciousWorking Conditions:- Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, heavy lifting and carrying
