The Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of bakery equipment such as mixers, dough dividers, etc. This position ensures consistent product quality and compliance with food safety standards while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
Operate and monitor bakery machinery according to standard operating procedures.
Set up, adjust, and clean machines before, during, and after production runs.
Monitor product quality and make necessary adjustments to maintain standards.
Record production data and report any deviations or issues to the supervisor.
Perform routine maintenance checks and report mechanical problems promptly.
Follow all health and safety policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of machines and work areas in accordance with food safety guidelines.
Assist with packaging, labeling, and stacking finished goods as required.
Skills
Previous experience in a bakery or food manufacturing environment preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
Strong attention to detail and quality control.
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Able to lift up to 60 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Comfortable working in varying temperatures (e.g., warm ovens, coolers).
