The machine operator is responsible for operating and maintaining machinery used in the production process., specifically pieces of steel. This role requires attention to detail, following safety protocols, and the ability to troubleshoot the machines. The ideal candidate will have experience in a steel or aerospace manufacturing environment and be committed to maintaining high production standards.The Dorval machine operator will work 12 hour day shifts, divided up between weekdays and weekends. Rotating day shifts: Week 1 = 6am to 6pm Wednesday to Saturday, Week 2 = 6am to 6pm Thursday to Saturday. OR days Sundays to Tuesdays, Sundays to Wednesdays
80 hours plus 4 hours overtime paid biweeklyResponsibilities
Operate machines making aerospace grade steel components
Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of products to standards.
Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including cleaning and calibration.
Check all output of steel parts for any discrepancies
Follow production schedules and meet production targets.
Maintain accurate production and maintenance records.
Ensure work area is clean, organized, and free of hazards.

Comfortable with repetitive machine operation work
Comfortable with standing up to 12 hours
Previous experience working as a machine operator with steel
Previous experience working in aerospace an asset
Must be able to understand and communicate perfectly in English, per international Aerospace requirements.
French an asset
Detail oriented
Experience with hand tools an asset
