Machine Operator / Production Floater - Night Shift

? Schedule: Sunday to Thursday, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
We are hiring a Machine Operator / Production Floater to join our client's growing food manufacturing team in Brantford. In this role, you'll operate and maintain food processing and packaging equipment, assist with material handling and production activities, and provide relief coverage for other team members as needed.

Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor food processing and packaging machinery safely and efficiently
Assist with production line operations, material handling, and packaging tasks
Follow GMP, HACCP, WHMIS, and all food safety standards at all times
Support plant start-up, shutdown, changeovers, and troubleshooting
Handle raw materials, ingredients, and packaging materials according to specifications
Conduct hourly QA checks, temperature checks, and record results accurately
Ensure correct recipes, batch parameters, and labeling are followed
Perform basic machine maintenance, adjustments, and clear minor blockages
Clean and sanitize machines, tools, and work areas as per company standards
Safely transport raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility
Provide relief coverage for other operators and general labour staff during breaks
Report equipment issues or production concerns to Line Leaders or Supervisors
Perform other duties as assigned to support production efficiency
What We're Looking For
Previous experience as a Machine Operator, Production Assistant, or Floater in a food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods environment (preferred)
Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and hot/humid environment
Good communication skills and a team-oriented, positive attitude
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and meet the physical demands of the job
Willingness to learn, take initiative, and contribute to a safety-first culture
Working Conditions
Exposure to moving machinery, heat, humidity, dust, and cleaning chemicals
Standing for long periods, frequent bending, lifting, and climbing ladders or platforms
