Job Summary
---------------
The Card Punch Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating the Spartanic and Blumer Card Punching Machines. He or she reports daily totals to the Senior Leadhand, Card Finishing and performs daily audit function on the work in progress.
Overnight Shift:
Sunday to Thursday 1030pm-630am
Responsibilities
--------------------
Set up and operate Card Punch Machine as required.
Able to troubleshoot minor equipment problems when required.
Responsible to check production orders prior to the start of every shift for job requirements
Inspect the quality of cards being produced by maintaining card tolerance stated on the ISO specifications
Maintain and follow all security requirements
Responsible for following quality checks and procedures set by Management and Quality Control Department
Monitor Punch Tool sharpness and cutting die condition at all times throughout shif
Follow daily schedule and productivity standards set for Card Punch equipment by Senior Leadhand Card Finishing is mandatory
Train new hires as required
Organize, clean workstation and machine after each shift
Complete all daily paperwork and audit control sheets daily
Take and empty recycle bins of scrap materials from Punch Machine at the end of each shift to the Warehouse holding area
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
------------------
2 year Machine Operator experience is preferred
Excellent oral and written skills.
Must be organized and a good multitasker
Basic computer knowledge is preferred
High School diploma is preferred.
Working Conditions
----------------------
Overtime and weekend work at times maybe required
Saftey Shoes / boots is mandatory
Must pass security and credit checks
Physical Requirements
Able to work standing on both feet 100% of the time while operating machinery
Able to lift 10 - 50 lbs from the floor, up to waist level, frequently
Able to frequently bend, lift, walk, crouch, kneel and sit
Requires keen eyesight and alertness to detail
Maybe required to work long periods of time at computer screen
