With manufacturing facilities in Toronto Ontario, Maxxit specializes in design assist, project management, and fabrication of innovative interior and exterior architectural solutions.

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Production Lead, Metal, we are seeking an experienced CNC Laser Machine Operator available to work full-time at our Toronto location.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Read and interpret blueprints and drawings and create forming sequence. Perform typical laser cutting operations. Select proper cutting programs. Ability to adjust machine setting to optimize cut quality and speed. Set-up for cutting various material, such as raw steel and stainless steel. Perform preventative maintenance. Perform QC inspections using precision measuring tools (caliper, height gauge, etc.) Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor. Follow standard procedure work instructions. Inspect own work and use inspection tools. Other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS

2 years Laser operating experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to multitask and problem solve. Detail oriented, enthusiastic and self-driven. Self-motivated and able to work independently. Must have experience and knowledge working with sheet metal. Must have knowledge of metal fabrication and experience with different types of metals (stainless, mild-steel, aluminum, etc.)
