Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our food production facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating various machinery and equipment, ensuring high-quality production standards in a food manufacturing company. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Temporary - Permanent
Location: North York, ON
Pay Rate: $19.00 to $22.00
Hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm
Responsibilities

• Operate food processing and packaging machinery safely, following all company and food safety procedures.
• Set up, adjust, and operate production equipment according to product specifications and work orders.
• Monitor machinery during operation to ensure consistent performance and identify any mechanical or quality issues.
• Examine finished food products to ensure they meet customer requirements, quality standards, and regulatory guidelines (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
• Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, organized, and sanitary condition in compliance with food safety standards.
• Record production data accurately and report any deviations or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives within the production process

• 2 years of experience as a Machine Operator in a food manufacturing plant.
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to perform basic equipment adjustments and troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and safety.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Basic understanding of shop math and production metrics.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and able to work full time hours as required by this position.
